It has never been spooled with line. If you are looking for something like this to add to your collection, then this is the gem that belongs on your shelf! All the ones I see for sale are in Japan, and mine is here in the States, ready to ship to where ever you are. The brown box says 4000 on it, it may have gotten mixed up somewhere in its lifetime but it still says millennium edition on it and fits the aluminum box perfectly.
